After years of watching the Kenyan winning the big races, RW contributor ‘A.F.’ set out to discover what made them so fast and to try and keep up.

He moved with his family to Iten in Kenya, home to hundreds of the country’s best athletes and ran side by side with Olympic Champions, young hopefuls and barefoot children. He ate their food, slept at the training camps and his children went to their schools.
